On March 22 Lt. Burke arrested David Tylan Jones from Goodwater, AL. on the charges of Theft of Property 1st, Burglary 3rd, and Theft of Property 3rd . He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $22,500 bond to await trial.

On February 21st Deputy Jones arrested Jim H. Girdner from Equality, AL. on warrants for Failure to Pay/Menacing, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. He was processed and released after fines were paid.

On February 23rd Deputy Jones arrested Jack Curtis Harrell from Rockford, AL. on a warrant for Failure to Appear/Domestic Violence 3rd. He was processed and placed in the County Jail to await trial.

On January 31st Deputy Rudd arrested Korvorkius Derell Stockdale from Talladega, AL. on a warrant for Failure to Appear/Driving while Suspended. He was processed and placed in the County Jail without bond to await trial.

ARRESTS

On January 23rd Deputy Lipscomb arrested Randy Lee Jones Jr. from Weogufka, AL. on a warrant for Probation Violation. He was processed and placed in the County Jail without bond to await trial.

On January 25th Deputy Lipscomb arrested Nataya Lanetria Thomas from Alexander City, AL. on a warrant for Probation Violation/Drug Court Sanction. She was processed and placed in the County Jail to serve a 48 Hour Drug Court Sanction.

Shooting in Hidden Valley

On January 25, 2017, at approximately 1:22 p.m. a 911 call was received by the Coosa County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center indicating a person had been shot on Coosa County Road 5 in the Hidden Valley Community.

Deputies arrived on scene and found Sylacauga Ambulance and Marble Valley Fire first responders rendering assistance to Charlie Hayes, 63, of Hidden Valley who had sustained a gunshot wound. Mr. Hayes was airlifted to UAB Hospital and later died from his injuries.

On January 17th Deputy Rudd arrested Jhermara Ann Moon from Talladega, AL. on warrants for Failure to Appear/Speeding, Driving While Suspended and Failure to Display Insurance. She was processed and released after fines were paid.

On January 9th Corporal Moon arrested David Tylan Jones from Goodwater, AL. on a warrant for Contempt of Court. He was processed and placed in the County Jail to serve a 5-day sentence.
