ARRESTS

On June 25th Lt. Burke arrested Leterrence Terrell Robinson from Goodwater, AL. on warrants for Criminal Trespass 3rd and Probation Violation. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $500 bond for the Criminal Trespass and no bond on the Probation Violation to await trial.

On June 25th Lt. Burke arrested Joshua Talmedge Spence from Rockford, AL. on a warrant for Probation Violation. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 7500 bond to await trial.

On June 25th Deputy Richardson arrested Eric Deon Richardson from Selma, AL. on warrants for Failure to Appear/Failing to Stop at a Stop Sign, Failing to Display Insurance and Driving While Suspended. He was processed and released on a $3000 bond to await trial.

On June 25th Deputy Jones arrested Jesse James Franklin Jr. from Pell City, AL. on the charge of Driving Under the Influence. He was processed and released on a $ 2000 bond to await trial.

On June 26th Deputy Jones arrested Brandy Michelle Carlisle from Kellyton, AL. on the charges of Driving Under the Influence and Attempting to Elude. She was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $4500 bond to await trial.

On June 26th Capt. Hammond arrested Payton Michelle Liner from Childersburg, AL. on warrants for Failure to Appear/Theft of Property 1st, Burglary 3rd. She was also arrested on warrants for Theft of Property 3rd and Probation Violation. She was processed and placed in the County Jail with a $2000 bond on the Theft of Property 3rd charge and no bond on the other charges to await trial.

On June 26th Capt. Hammond arrested Jessica Renee Davis from Stewartville, AL. on the charge of Theft of Property 3rd. She was processed and placed in the County Jail with a $2000 Theft of Property 3rd bond to await trial.

On June 26th Capt. Hammond arrested Jim H. Girdner from Equality, AL. on warrants for Failure to Appear/Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was processed and placed in the County Jail without bond to await trial.

On June 27th Lt. Keel arrested Billy Wayne Cryer from Winfield, AL. on a warrant for Failure to Pay/Driving Under the Influence. He was processed and released on a $1000 bond to await trial.

On June 29th Deputy Davenport arrested David Eugene McDonald from Sylacauga, Al. on the charge of Domestic Violence 3rd/Harassment. He was processed and released on a $ 2500 bond to await trial.

On June 30th Deputy Davenport arrested Miles Dontae McGhee from Sylacauga, AL. on the charges of Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st and Giving False Name to Law Enforcement. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 4500 bond to await trial.

On July 1st Deputy Jones arrested John Ross Goodman from Auburn, AL. on the charges of Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd, Tampering with Evidence, Driving Under the Influence, Giving False Information to an Officer and Resisting Arrest. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 8500 bond to await trial.

On July 1st Deputy Davenport arrested Timothy Lynn Cleveland from Alexander City, AL. on the charge of Domestic Violence 3rd/Harassment. He was processed and released on a $ 2000 bond to await trial.

CALLS FOR SERVICE

The Coosa County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all the people involved with helping out with all the storm damage on June 28th. Without all the volunteers it would not be possible to have cleared up all the trees and debris from the roads in such a short time.

MARBLE VALLEY

On June 26th a Deputy was dispatched to Red Robin Road after receiving a request for a welfare check. The Deputy spoke to the person and determined that everything was ok.

STEWARTVILLE

On June 26th a Deputy was dispatched to Live Oaks Lane after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. The Deputy spoke to both parties and the issue was resolve without incident.

On June 26th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 150 after receiving a report of a civil dispute. The Deputy spoke to the complainant and explained the civil process.

On June 28th a Deputy was dispatched to Ferguson Road after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.

On June 28th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 231 after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.

On June 29th Stewartville First Responders, a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 280 near CR 150 after receiving a report of a one vehicle accident. There were no reported injuries and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.

On June 29th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 53 after receiving a report of a vehicle parked in the roadway. The Deputy checked the vehicle which appeared to be disabled and notified a wrecker service to remove the vehicle.

On July 1st a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 280 after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.

 

WEOGUFKA

On June 28th Weogufka Fire Department was dispatched to CR 29 after receiving a report of a brush fire. The fire was extinguished without incident.

MOUNT OLIVE

On June 27th a Deputy was dispatched to CeAnn Drive after receiving a report of Harassment. A report was completed and the warrant process was explained.

On June 29th a Deputy was dispatched to Gamble Drive after receiving a report of an unwanted person. After warning the subject causing the problems, they were arrested for Domestic Violence 3rd/Harassment.

KELLYTON

On June 25th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 85 after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.

On June 26th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 85 after receiving a request for a welfare check. The Deputy located the person and determined that they were ok.

On June 26th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 85 after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. The Deputy spoke to both parties and the issue was resolved without incident.

On June 27th Kellyton Medics were dispatched to CR 85 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.

On June 27th a Deputy was dispatched to Luster Lane after receiving a report of Trespassing. A report was completed and the warrant process was explained.

On June 28th Kellyton Medics were dispatched to CR 350 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.

On June 29th a Deputy was dispatched to Long Tree Drive after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. The Deputy spoke to both parties and the issue was resolved without incident.

On June 29th a Deputy was dispatched to Trailer Park Road after receiving a report of a civil dispute. The Deputy spoke to both parties and the issue was resolved without incident.

RICHVILLE

On June 27th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 29 after receiving a report of a suspicious person. The Deputy located the subject and determined that everything was ok.

 

 

 

ROCKFORD

On June 25th a Deputy was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office after a resident came in to report a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.

On June 26th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 231 after receiving a request for a welfare check. The Deputy spoke to the person and determined that they were ok.

On June 28th Rockford, Richville and Hanover Fire Departments were dispatched to Hwy 22 after receiving a report of power lines down and were causing a fire hazard near a residence. The fires were extinguished and the power company replaced the downed lines.

SPEED

On June 29th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 14 near Hwy 231 after receiving a report of an abandoned vehicle. The Deputy located the vehicle which appeared to be disabled and was not causing any obstruction.

COTTAGE GROVE / HISSOP

On June 25th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 93 after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.

EQUALITY

On June 26th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 9 after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.

On June 26th Ray First Responders and Haynes Ambulance were dispatched to CR 14 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.

On June 27th Equality First Responders and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 9 after receiving a report of a one vehicle accident. There were no reported injuries and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.

On June 29th Equality First Responders and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 259 after receiving a report of a one vehicle accident. There were no reported injuries and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.

On July 1st a Deputy was dispatched to CR 33 after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. The Deputy located the vehicle and everything was ok.

RAY

On June 25th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 63 after receiving a report of a suspicious person. The Deputy patrolled the area and did not locate anyone.

On June 26th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 22 after receiving a report of an Identity Theft. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.

On June 30th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 32 after receiving a report of an unwanted person. The Deputy located the subject that was causing the problems and warned them not to come back on the property.

On June 30th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 22 after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.

On July 1st a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 22 after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. The Deputy spoke to the complainant and one person was arrested for Domestic Violence 3rd/Harassment.

LAKE MARTIN

On June 25th Equality First Responders and Haynes Ambulance were dispatched to Carnation Drive after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was airlifted by Life-Flight to Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery.

On July 1st a Deputy was dispatched to Needle Eye Road after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.

WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA

On June 28th a Deputy was dispatched to Sehoya Drive after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.

SMYRNA

On June 27th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 48 after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.
