JAIL POPULATION AS OF MAY 12 (32 MALES & 5 FEMALES) TOTAL OF 37 INMATES

ARRESTS

On May 6th Sheriff Howell arrested Charles Edward Brookshire from Fyffe, AL. on the charge of Using False Identity To Avoid Arrest/Prosecution. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 5,000 bond to await trial.

On May 7th Deputy Rudd arrested John Dakota Clifton Winters from Alexander City, AL. on warrants for Failure to Appear/Speeding and Driving While Revoked. He was processed and released on a $ 3,000 bond to await trial.

On May 8th Sgt. Jones arrested Amon Lee Miley from Sylacauga, AL. on Grand Jury Indictments for Driving While Suspended, Switched Tag and Failure to Display Insurance. He was processed and released on a $ 750 bond to await trial.

On May 8th Sgt. Jones arrested Chylciale McCollum Washington from Jacksonville, AL. on the charge of Failure to Install Interlock Device. She was processed and released on a $ 500 bond to await trial.

On May 9th Capt. Hammond arrested Michael James Squires from Equality, AL. on the charge of Shooting into an Occupied Vehicle. He was processed and released on a $ 5,000 bond to await trial.

On May 9th Sgt. Jones arrested Buck Anthony Johnson from Alexander City, AL. on Grand Jury Indictments for Alcohol on a Wildlife Management Area and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd. He was processed and released on a $ 750 bond to await trial.

On May 9th Sgt. Jones arrested Deashia Leshaey Miles from Sylacauga, AL. on Grand Jury Indictments for Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Reckless Endangerment. She was processed and released on a $ 5,500 bond to await trial.

On May 10th Deputy Cook arrested Joshua David Risher from Sylacauga, AL. on a warrant for Attempting to Elude. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 5,000 bond to await trial.

On May 10th Deputy Rudd arrested Matthew Scott Pettus from Sylacauga, AL. on a warrant for Failure to Appear/Theft of Property 1st. He was processed and placed in the County Jail without bond to await trial.

On May 10th Deputy Rudd arrested Roy Shaquan Hall from Alexander City, AL. on a warrant for Probation Violation. He was processed and placed in the County Jail without bond to await trial.

On May 11th Deputy Rudd arrested Stoney Woodrow Matherson from Talladega, AL. on the charge of Possession of Marijuana 2nd. He was processed and released on a $ 2,000 bond to await trial.

On May 11th Deputy Rudd arrested Ashley Nicole Chaviers from Sylacauga , AL. on the charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st. She was processed and booked into the County Jail on a $ 15,000 bond to await trial.

On May 12th Deputy Keel arrested John Stacy Gilbert from Rockford, AL. on Grand Jury Indictments for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 6,000 bond to await trial.

CALLS FOR SERVICE

STEWARTVILLE

On May 6th a Deputy was dispatched to Ed’s Lane after receiving a report of a civil dispute. The Deputy spoke to both parties and the issue was resolved without incident.

On May 6th a Deputy was dispatched to Lovette Lane after receiving a report of a civil dispute. The Deputy spoke to the complainant and explained the civil process.

On May 7th a Deputy was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office after a resident came in to report a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.

On May 8th a Deputy was dispatched to Shiloh Park after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.

On May 11th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 280 after receiving a report of a suspicious person in the roadway. The Deputy patrolled the area and did not locate the person.

On May 11th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 231 after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.

WEOGUFKA

On May 12th Weogufka First Responders and Sylacauga Ambulance were dispatched to Mockingbird Trail after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center.

HANOVER

On May 9th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 280 after receiving a report of a suspicious person. The Deputy patrolled the area and did not locate the person.

On May 10th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 280 at CR 49 after receiving a report of a private property accident. A report was completed without incident.

MOUNT OLIVE

On May 6th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 123 after receiving a report of Harassment. A report was completed and the warrant process was explained.

On May 8th a deputy was dispatched to CR 58 after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. The Deputy patrolled the area and did not locate the vehicle.

 

GOODWATER

On May 6th Olen Cleophus Kelly a convicted Sex Offender that resides on CR 131 reported to the Sheriff’s Office to update his quarterly Sex Offender information.

KELLYTON

On May 7th a Deputy was dispatched to a business on Hwy 280 after receiving a report of an unwanted person. The Deputy located the person and warned them not to return on the property.

On May 8th Kellyton Medics and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 115 after receiving a report of a two vehicle accident. There were no reported injuries and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.

On May 8th Stewartville First Responders and Goodwater Medics were dispatched to Hwy 9 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.

On May 8th a Deputy was dispatched to Trailer Park Road after receiving a report of Criminal Mischief. A report was completed and the warrant process was explained.

On May 9th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 85 after receiving a report of a church burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the church and determined that the alarm was false.

On May 9th Kellyton Fire Department and Central Alabama Electric Co-op were dispatched to CR 40 after receiving a report of a power pole on fire. The fire was extinguished and the scene was turned over to the Co-Op.

On May 10th Kellyton Medics were dispatched to CR 126 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.

ROCKFORD

On May 6th Deputy Rudd attended the Union Square Monthly Neighborhood Watch Meeting where he presented the monthly crime report for the area.

On May 6th Sheriff Howell was dispatched to Hwy 22 at CR 107 after receiving a report of a suspicious person. After locating the person and talking to him, an arrest was made for Giving False Information to Law Enforcement to Avoid Prosecution. A report was completed and the person was transported to the County Jail.

On May 6th Rockford and Equality First Responders, a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to CR 18 after receiving a report of a one vehicle accident. One person was transported to Russell Medical Center and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.

On May 8th Richville First Responders and Care Ambulance were dispatched to CR 118 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Chilton County Hospital.

On May 8th Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 231 after receiving a report of a bank burglar alarm. The Deputies checked the bank and determined that the alarm was false.

On May 9th Sheriff Howell was dispatched to CR 40 after receiving a report of a dog attacking livestock. A report was completed after speaking to both parties.

On May 9th Rockford and Stewartville First Responders, Haynes Ambulance and Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 231 after receiving a report of an unresponsive person. A report was completed and the scene was turned over to the Coroner.

COTTAGE GROVE

On May 7th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 22 after receiving a report of several horses in the roadway. The Deputy located the owner and the horses were put back in their pen.

RAY

On May 6th Rockford First Responders and Kellyton Medics were dispatched to Hwy 22 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.

On May 8th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 22 after receiving a request for a Funeral Escort. The Deputy completed the escort as requested.

On May 11th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 119 after receiving a report of Harassment. A report was completed and the warrant process was explained.

LAKE MARTIN

On May 10th Ray and Equality Fire Departments were dispatched to Blue Sky Lane after receiving a report of a boat fire. The fire was extinguished without incident.

On May 11th a deputy was dispatched to By-Water Road after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.

WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA

On May 6th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 132 after receiving a report of a civil dispute. The Deputy spoke to both parties and the issue was resolved without incident.
