ARRESTS

On March 6th, Sheriff Howell arrested Eric Lashun Harrison, a resident of Montgomery, AL for Harassment and Criminal Mischief. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $4,000 bond.

On March 7th, Sheriff Howell arrested Barry Dwayne Hutchins, a resident of Alexander City, AL for Failure to Appear in Court. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $3,000 bond.

On March 8th, Investigator Ward arrested Joshua Glenn Saffold, a resident of Goodwater, AL for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $7,500 bond.

On March 8th, Investigator Ward arrested Hunter Lafayette Saffold, a resident of Goodwater, AL for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $17,500 bond.

On March 10th, Deputy Scott arrested Samuel James Smoot, a resident of Kellyton, AL for Receiving Stolen Property, Domestic Violence 3rd, and Disorderly Conduct. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $9,500 bond.

On March 11th, Investigator Ward arrested John Robert Kennedy, a resident of Alexander City, AL for Harassing Communications. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $2,500 bond.

On March 12th, Deputy Mitchell arrested Andrew Tyler Romine, a resident of Sylacauga, AL for Failure to Appear in Court. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $2,500 cash bond.

CALLS FOR SERVICE

KELLYTON

On March 7th, Kellyton Medics responded to a medical call on Long Tree Drive after a resident requested medical assistance. The individual was transported to Russel Medical Center.

On March 9th, Deputies assisted a disabled motorist on US Highway 280 at Coosa County Road 50 without incident.

On March 10th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 280 after receiving a report of Theft of Property.  A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

On March 10th, Deputies were dispatched to Morning Star Lane after receiving a report of Harassing Communications.  Deputies spoke with the complainant and the situation was resolved without a report.

On March 10th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 50 after receiving a report of a domestic dispute.  The result ended in an arrest and the subject was processed into the Coosa County Jail.

On March 12th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 97 after receiving a report of Harassing Communications. Deputies spoke with the complainant and the situation was resolved without a report.

ROCKFORD

On March 8th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 40 after receiving a report of a civil dispute. Deputies spoke with the parties involved and the situation was resolved without a report.

On March 10th, Rockford Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to US Hwy 231 for a medical call after a resident requested medical assistance.  No transport needed.

On March 11th, Deputies, Rockford Volunteer Fire Department, Hanover Volunteer Fire Department, and Kellyton Medics were dispatched to Coosa County Road 18 after receiving a report of an unresponsive person. The Coosa County Coroner was notified and the scene was released to him.

EQUALITY

On March 8th, Equality Volunteer Fire Department responded to a yard fire on Coosa County Road 98. The fire was under control without incident.

On March 12th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 2 after receiving a report of Theft of Property and Burglary.  A report was taken and one arrest was made.

RAY

On March 8th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 317 after receiving a report of Theft of Property.  A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

On March 11th, Deputies were dispatched to Highway 22 after receiving a report of livestock in the road. Owner was notified and animals were returned home safely.  

On March 11th, Ray Volunteer Fire Department and Goodwater EMS were dispatched to Coosa County Road 155 for a medical call. Patient refused transport.

STEWARTVILLE

On March 10th, Stewartville Volunteer Fire Department and a Deputy were dispatched to after a two vehicle accident at Stewartville Dollar General.  No one was injured.

On March 11th, Deputies were dispatched to Buford Lane after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

HANOVER

On March 6th, Deputies were dispatched to Us Highway 231 after receiving a report of property damage. The situation was resolved without a report.

KEYNO

On March 7th, Deputies responded to a fire on Coosa County Road 127.  Once on scene, Deputies located a burned automobile.

On March 10th, Ray Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Coosa County Road 42 for a residential fire alarm.  Deputies determined the alarm to be false.

RICHVILLE

On March 8th, Richville Volunteer Fire Department responded to a fire on AL State Highway 22 at Coosa County Road 25. Fire was extinguished without incident.

COTTAGE GROVE

On March 8th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 133 after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA

On March 8th, Deputies were dispatched to Little Tom Road after receiving a report of an Assault. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

SALEM

On March 9th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 118 after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was taken and the case is under investigation
