JAIL POPULATION AS OF JAN. 27 (28 MALES & 7 FEMALES) TOTAL OF 35 INMATES
ARRESTS
On January 21st Deputy Lipscomb arrested Isiah Jamaal Beard from Opelika, AL. on warrants for Failure to Appear/Reckless Driving, Possession of Marijuana 2nd, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st. He was processed and released on a $ 3,000 bond to await trial.
On January 21st Deputy Cook arrested James O’Brien Spears from Sylacauga, AL. on warrants for Failure to Appear/Theft of Property 1st and a Grand Jury Indictment for Criminal Mischief 3rd. He was processed and released on a $ 1,500 bond to await trial.
On January 22nd Deputy Richardson arrested Roy Shaquan Hall from Alexander City, AL. on a warrant for Probation Violation. He was processed and placed in the County Jail without bond to await trial.
On January 22nd Deputy Richardson arrested Brian Keith Smith from Rockford, AL. on warrants for Promoting Prison Contraband 1st and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 20,000 bond to await trial.
On January 22nd Deputy Jones arrested Gregory Keith Sinclair from Shelby, AL. on the charge of Public Intoxication. He was processed and released on a $ 500 bond to await trial.
On January 23rd Deputy Richardson arrested Kenny Alan Holmes from Sylacauga, AL. on a warrant for Receiving Stolen Property 2nd. He was processed and released on a $ 5,000 bond to await trial.
On January 23rd Deputy Richardson arrested Christopher Wayne Oliver from Sylacauga, AL. on warrants for Failure to Appear / Speeding and Driving While Suspended. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 2,000 bond to await trial.
On January 25th Deputy Richardson arrested Matthew Cameron Jones from Sylacauga, AL. on a warrant for Possession of Marijuana 2nd. He was processed and released on a $ 1,000 bond to await trial.
On January 25th Deputy Jones arrested Obrier Edwards Hall from Goodwater, AL. on the charges of Possession of Marijuana 2nd, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st, Possession of a Concealed Pistol Without a Permit and Driving Under the Influence. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 35,000 bond to await trial.
On January 26th Deputy Richardson arrested Heaven Alexis Pressley from Alexander City, AL. on a warrant for Probation Violation. She was processed and placed in the County Jail without bond to await trial.
On January 26th Deputy Richardson arrested Braxton Elias Peyton from Sylacauga, AL. on the charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Burglary 3rd, Concealing Stolen Property, Giving False Information to Law Enforcement and Theft of Property 1st. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 55,000 bond to await trial.
On January 26th Deputy Richardson arrested Caleb Chace Ballard from Sylacauga, AL. on the charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 7,000 bond to await trial.
On January 27th Deputy Jones arrested Dylan Jakob Hay from Weogufka, AL on the charges of Driving Under the Influence and Attempting to Elude. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $4,500 bond to await trial.
CALLS FOR SERVICE
MARBLE VALLEY
On January 24th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 125 after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.
On January 26th Marble Valley First Responders, Sylacauga Ambulance and a Deputy were dispatched Varner Lane after receiving a report of an unresponsive person. A report was completed and the scene was turned over to the Coroner.
STEWARTVILLE
On January 22nd a Deputy was dispatched to CR 74 after receiving a report of a civil dispute. A report was completed after one person was arrested for public intoxication.
On January 22nd Stewartville and Weogufka Fire Departments were dispatched to CR 150 after receiving a report of a brush fire. The fire was contained and the scene was turned over to Forestry.
On January 23rd Stewartville First Responders and Sylacauga Ambulance were dispatched to Live Oaks Lane after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center.
On January 26th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 231 after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.
On January 26th a Deputy was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office after a resident came in to report a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.
On January 27th a Deputy was dispatched to Rustling Pines Lane after receiving a report of a Missing Person. After a brief search the person was located without incident.
WEOGUFKA
On January 21st a Deputy was dispatched to CR 29 after receiving a request for a funeral escort. The Deputy completed the escort as requested.
On January 26th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 56 after receiving a report of two suspicious persons. The Deputy located the subjects and two people were arrested for numerous charges.
On January 27th Weogufka First Responders and Sylacauga Ambulance were dispatched to CR 56 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center.
HANOVER
On January 22nd a Deputy was dispatched to CR 75 after receiving a report of a suspicious person. The Deputy patrolled the area and did not locate the person.
On January 26th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 59 after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.
KEYNO
On January 24th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 71 after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. The Deputy patrolled the area and did not locate the vehicle.
On January 25th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 71 after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that everything was ok.
On January 27th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 96 after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. The Deputy spoke to the complainant and a report was completed for Domestic Violence 3rd/Harassment and the warrant process was explained.
GOODWATER
On January 23rd Kellyton Medics, a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 280 after receiving a report of a two vehicle accident. There no reported injuries and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.
On January 25th Stacy Bernard McKinney a convicted Sex Offender that resides on CR 52 reported to the Sheriff’s Office to update his quarterly Sex Offender information.
On January 26th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 280 after receiving a report of a suspicious person. The Deputy patrolled the area and did not locate the person.
KELLYTON
On January 21st Kellyton Medics, a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 280 near CR 87 after receiving a report of a two vehicle accident. One person was transported to Russell Medical Center and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.
On January 21st a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 9 near CR 62 after receiving a report of a one vehicle accident. There were no reported injuries and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.
RICHVILLE
On January 22nd Stewartville and Ray First Responders and Kellyton Medics along with a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 22 after receiving a report of a one vehicle accident. One person was transported to Russell Medical Center and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.
COTTAGE GROVE / HISSOP
On January 27th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 133 after receiving a report of Harassment. A report was completed and the warrant process was explained.
EQUALITY
On January 23rd Equality First Responders , Kellyton Medics a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 9 after receiving a report of a two vehicle accident. There were no reported injuries and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.
RAY
On January 22nd J.C. Winslett a convicted Sex Offender that resides on Hwy 259 reported to the Sheriff’s Office to update his quarterly Sex Offender information.
LAKE MITCHELL
On January 26th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 22 after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.
SALEM
On January 25th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 107 after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. The Deputy patrolled the area and did not locate the vehicle.
