ARRESTS

On January 19th, Investigator Ward arrested Hunter Lafayette Saffold, a citizen of Goodwater, Alabama, on the charge of Alias Writ of Arrest. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with no bond.

On January 19th, Investigator Ward arrested Brian Todd Roberson, a citizen of Childersburg, Alabama, on the charge of Theft of Property 1st. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail with a $39,000 bond.

MARBLE VALLEY

On January 14th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 50 after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies spoke with the driver and issued a verbal warning.

STEWARTVILLE

On January 15th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 231 after receiving reports of a civil dispute. Deputies were able to resolve the dispute without incident; no report needed.

On January 15th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 35 after receiving reports of an Assault. A report was taken and the case is under investigation. 

On January 15th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 280 after receiving reports of Criminal Mischief. After investigation, the call was transferred to the Coosa County Game Warden.

On January 16th, Deputies and Coosa 22 EMS were dispatched to a vehicle accident on US Highway 280. Driver was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center and scene was turned over to ALEA.

On January 16th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 280 after receiving reports of Trespassing. The scene was turned over to the Coosa County Game Warden.

On January 17th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 280 after receiving reports of a residential burglar alarm. The alarm was determined to be false; no report needed.

On January 20th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 150 after receiving reports of a suspicious person. Negative contact was made with any person.

On January 20th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 231 after receiving reports of a mental patient requiring assistance. The subject was transported to the hospital and a report was taken.

HANOVER

On January 14th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 231 after receiving a request from a resident for assistance in unlocking their residence. Deputies were able to unlock the caller’s residence.

On January 16th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Rd 34 after receiving reports of a residential burglar alarm. The alarm was determined to be false; no report needed.

On January 17th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 280 after receiving a request from a disabled motorist. Deputies assisted the citizen without incident.

KELLYTON

On January 15th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 280 after receiving a request from a disabled motorist. Deputies assisted the citizen without incident.

On January 17th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 50 after receiving reports of a suspicious person. Deputies spoke with the subject and determined everything to be OK; no report wanted/needed.

On January 18th, Deputies and Kellyton EMS were dispatched to Coosa County Road 85 after receiving a medical call. The subject was found to be deceased on arrival; the scene was turned over to the Coosa County Coroner.

ROCKFORD

On January 17th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 118 after receiving reports of an unwanted person. No subject was found at the residence and no report was taken.

On January 18th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 231 after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle. Negative contact was made with the vehicle.

On January 18th, Deputies were dispatched to Hill Street after receiving a request from a motorist for assistance in unlocking their car doors. Deputies assisted the motorist without incident.

On January 19th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 231 after receiving reports of a residential burglar alarm. The alarm was determined to be false; no report needed.

COTTAGE GROVE/ HISSOP

On January 16th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 30 after receiving reports of a commercial burglar alarm. The alarm was determined to be false; no report needed.

EQUALITY

On January 17th, Deputies were dispatched to Sweet Gum Lane after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies spoke with the subject and determined everything to be OK.

On January 14th, Deputies were dispatched to a vehicle accident call on Coosa County Rd 71. Scene was turned over to ALEA.
