ARRESTS

On January 4th, Sgt. Rudd arrested Matthew Lon Marler, a citizen of Vincent, Alabama, on the charges of Failure to Appear in Court X 2. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with no bond.

On January 5th, Deputy Ward arrested Andrew Lin Joiner, a citizen of Rockford, Alabama, on a charge of Theft of Property 1st. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $20,000 bond.

On January 6th, Deputy Payton arrested Jeffrey Chase Downs, a citizen of Rockford, Alabama, on a charge of Failure to Appear in Court. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $500 bond.

MARBLE VALLEY

On December 31st, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 5 after receiving a report of Trespassing. No contact was made with the subject and no report was wanted/needed.

On January 2nd, Deputies were dispatched to Peoples Lane after receiving a report of Burglary. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

STEWARTVILLE

On January 1st, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 53 after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. Negative contact was made with said vehicle and no report was wanted/needed.

On January 2nd, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 231 after receiving a report of a suspicious person. Deputy gave the citizen a ride to a nearby residence without incident.

On January 2nd, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 150 after receiving a report of a runaway juvenile. Deputies were able to locate the juvenile; no report was taken.

On January 6th, Deputies were dispatched to Oakcrest Drive after receiving a report of vehicle accident. Vehicle was in a pond, unoccupied, on private property. No report was needed.

WEOGUFKA

On January 2nd, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 29 after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. Deputies were able to resolve the situation and no report was wanted.

On January 4th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 29 after receiving a report of an unwanted person. Deputies were able to resolve the incident and no report was wanted.

HANOVER

On January 5th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 280 after receiving a report of a disabled motorist. Deputies were able to assist the motorist without incident.

On January 6th, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa Central High School after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was unoccupied and no report was needed.

GOODWATER

On December 31st, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 52 after receiving a report of a vehicle accident. Goodwater EMS assessed injuries and scene was turned over to ALEA.

KELLYTON

On December 31st, Deputies were dispatched to Lightwood Drive after receiving a report of a suspicious person. Deputies requested Kellyton EMS evaluate subject; subject was taken to a local hospital.

On January 2nd, Deputies were dispatched to Mcclellan Parkway after receiving a report of a commercial business alarm. The alarm was determined to be false; no report needed.

On January 2nd, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 50 after receiving a report of a vehicle accident. Subject was transported to a local hospital and scene was turned over to ALEA.

On January 4th, Deputies were dispatched to Mcclellan Road after receiving a report of Theft of Property. A report of the incident was taken and the case is under investigation.

On January 1st, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 53 after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. Negative contact was made with said vehicle; no report was wanted/needed.

On January 5th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 280 after receiving a report of an unresponsive person. Kellyton EMS and Coosa County Coroner determined the subject was deceased of natural causes; a report was taken.

RICHVILLE

On December 31st, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 29 after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. Negative contact was made with said vehicle; no report was wanted/needed.

ROCKFORD

On January 2nd, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 231 after receiving a report of a commercial burglar alarm. Deputies searched the perimeter of the building and reported everything to be OK; no report needed.

On January 3rd, Deputies were dispatched to Circle Drive after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. Vehicle was found to be unoccupied and the building to be secured; no report needed.

SPEED

On January 4th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 231 after receiving a report of Theft of Property. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

EQUALITY

On January 4th, Deputies were dispatched to AL Highway 9 after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies made contact with the vehicle, the vehicle was disabled and the driver had help on the way.

On January 5th, Deputies were dispatched to Webb Road after receiving a report of Identity Theft. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

On January 5th, Deputies were dispatched to Hancel Road after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. Deputies found the residence to be secure and no report was needed.

RAY

On December 31st, Deputies were dispatched to AL Highway 22 after receiving a report of a mental patient. Subject refused ambulance transport and no report was wanted.

On January 6th, Deputies were dispatched to AL Highway 259 after receiving a report of property damage. Deputies spoke with the owner and no report was wanted.

LAKE MARTIN

On January 2nd, Deputies were dispatched to Grandview Lane after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The residence was found to be secure and no report was needed.

SMYRNA

On December 31st, Deputies were dispatched to Coosa County Road 77 after receiving a report of Trespassing. Deputies spoke with the property owner and no report was wanted.
