JAIL POPULATION AS OF JANUARY 3rd (19 MALES & 2 FEMALES) TOTAL OF 21 INMATES
ARRESTS
On January 1st, Corporal Rudd arrested Emily Paige Moore of Childersburg, AL for DUI, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest. She was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $7000 bond.
On January 1st, Deputy Dawson arrested Brian Keith Smith of Rockford, AL on warrants for FTA-Promoting Prison Contraband and FTA-Possession of Controlled Substance. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with no bond.
On January 2nd, Deputy Ward arrested Chancy Berry Temple of Sylacauga, AL on charges of Trafficking Methamphetamines, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Reckless Endangerment, Criminal Mischief 1st, Resisting Arrest, and Attempting to Elude Law Enforcement. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $45000 bond.
On January 2nd, Alabama State Troopers arrested Mason Brett Blankenship of Weogufka, AL for DUI. He was booked into the Coosa County Jail with a $2000 bond.
CALLS FOR SERVICE
STEWARTVILLE
On December 28th, Deputies were dispatched to US231 @ CR68 for a suspicious vehicle. Once on scene, the Deputies deemed to car to be disabled. They made contact with the driver and helped them change a tire. No report was needed.
On December 29th, Deputies were dispatched to Mack Miller Drive to take a report for theft of property. Once on scene, a report was completed and case is under investigation.
On December 29th, a citizen from Hallman Drive came to the Sheriff’s Office to file a report for theft of property. A Deputy completed the report and case is under investigation.
On December 29th, Deputies were dispatched to Rustling Pines Lane for a report of criminal mischief. A report was completed and case is under investigation.
On December 31st, Deputies were dispatched to the 3000 block of CR150 for a report of theft of property. Once on scene, the Deputy completed the report and case is under investigation.
On January 3rd, Deputies were dispatched to Shiloh Drive for a report for theft of property. Once on scene, the Deputy gathered information for a report and case is under investigation.
WEOGUFKA
On December 28th, Thomas Lawson Lamberth, a registered sex offender, who lives on CR29, reported to the Sheriff’s Office for his quarterly sex offender registration.
HANOVER
On December 30th, A Deputy was dispatched to US231 for a vehicle accident. The Deputy arrived and advised the car struck a deer and no report would be needed. The Deputy waited until the tow truck arrived to assist.
On January 2nd, Hanover VFD, Sylacauga Ambulance, Alabama State Troopers and Deputies were dispatched to the 18000 block of US231 for a motor vehicle accident. One minor injury was reported, Troopers transported one person to Coosa Valley Medical Center for evaluation. The scene was turned over to Troopers for investigation.
KELLYTON
On December 28th, Deputies were dispatched to McClellan Road for an unwanted guest. Once on scene, the Deputy spoke with both parties involved and one person left without incident. The Deputy completed an I/O report was taken and case is under investigation.
On December 30th, Kellyton EMS & VFD, Alabama State Troopers and Deputies were dispatched to US280 for a motor vehicle accident. NO injuries were reported. The scene was turned over to the Troopers.
On January 3rd, Deputies were dispatched to Red Leaf Road for a domestic disturbance. The Deputy arrived and spoke with both subjects. An I/O was completed and one of the parties left for the evening.
SPEED
On January 2nd, Equality and Ray VFD’s along with Alabama State Troopers and Deputies were dispatched to the 1400 block of US231 for a motor vehicle accident. One injury was reported and patient was transported to Baptist East Hospital in Montgomery. Scene was turned over to Troopers.
COTTAGE GROVE / HISSOP
On December 28th, Deputies were dispatched to CR30 for a call for harassment. The Deputy arrived and completed and case is under investigation.
EQUALITY
On December 28th, Dwain Anthony Lewis, a registered sex offender, who lives on CR98, reported to the Sheriff’s Office to complete his quarterly sex offender registration.
On January 1st, A Deputy was dispatched to the 500 block of AL HWY9 for a report of theft of property. An I/O report was completed and case is under investigation.
RAY
On December 31st, Deputies were dispatched to Russell Medical Center for an assault that occurred in our county. A report was completed and case is under investigation.
On January 2nd, a resident from AL HWY 22 came to the office to file a report for theft of property. A Deputy completed the report and case is under investigation.
WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT
On December 28th, Weogufka VFD, Alabama State Troopers and Deputies were dispatched to the 8000 block of CR55 for a motor vehicle accident. One injury was reported and Sylacauga Ambulance transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center.
