JAIL POPULATION AS OF January 3, 2023 (22 MALES & 6 FEMALES) TOTAL OF 28 INMATES 

ARRESTS

On December 26th, Deputy Scott arrested Jordan Marquez Dates, a resident of Sylacauga, AL for Failure to Appear in Court. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail on a $1,000 bond.

On December 27th, Deputy Mitchell arrested Brandon Maurice Hill, a resident of Kellyton, AL for Failure to Appear in Court. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail on a $291 cash bond.

On December 29th, Deputy Ward arrested Byron Grady Mason, a resident of Sylacauga, AL for Menacing. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail on a $1,000 bond.

On December 31st, Deputy Payton arrested David Malachi Smithey, a resident of Sylacauga, AL for Attempting to Elude. He was processed into the Coosa County Jail on a $2,500 bond.

 

CALLS FOR SERVICE

STEWARTVILLE

On December 29th, the Coosa County Litter Abatement Officer was dispatched to County Road 29 after receiving a report of Illegal Dumping. Trash was collected and the case is under investigation.

On December 30th, Deputies were dispatched to US Highway 231 after receiving a report of Harassing Communications. Deputy spoke with all parties involved and no report was needed.

WEOGUFKA

On December 26th, Deputies were dispatched to County Road 16 after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. Deputy checked residence and determined alarm to be false.

On December 27th, the Coosa County Litter Abatement Officer was dispatched to Weogufka First Baptist Cemetery after receiving a report of Illegal Dumping. Trash was collected and the case is under investigation.

On December 28th, Deputies were dispatched to Mockingbird Lane after receiving a report of a civil dispute. Deputy spoke with all parties and situation was resolved without a report.

KELLYTON

On December 28th, Deputies were dispatched to County Road 87 after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

On December 29th, Deputies were dispatched to AL Highway 115 after receiving a request for a welfare check on a resident. Deputy spoke with requestor and everything was ok, no report needed.

On December 29th, the Coosa County Litter Abatement Officer was dispatched to County Road 331 after receiving a report of Illegal Dumping. Trash was collected and the case is under investigation.

On December 31st, Deputies were dispatched to County Road 119 after receiving a report of shots being fired into a residence. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

 

ROCKFORD

On January 1st, Deputies were dispatched to County Road 2 after receiving a report of property damage. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

HANOVER

On December 28th, the Coosa County Litter Abatement Officer was dispatched to Rolling Mountain Road after receiving a report of Illegal Dumping. Trash was collected and the case is under investigation.

RICHVILLE

On December 28th, Deputies were dispatched to Danny Holman Road after receiving a report of a nonresponsive resident. The Coosa County Coroner was notified and the scene was released to him.

RAY

On December 26th, Deputies were dispatched to County Road 20 after receiving a report of Theft of Property. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

On December 27th, Deputies were dispatched to AL Highway 9 after receiving a report of shots being fired. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

On December 31st, Deputies were dispatched to Small Loop after receiving a report of an assault. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.

On December 31st, Deputies were dispatched to Addition Lane after receiving a report of a civil disturbance. Deputy spoke with all parties and everything was resolved without a report.
