ARRESTS

On January 13th Deputy Lucas arrested Terry Alton Burton from Kellyton, AL. on the charge of Driving Under the Influence. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 2,000 bond to await trial.

On January 15th Investigator Keel arrested John Kenneth Kelley from Alexander City, AL. on Grand Jury Indictments for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st. He was processed and booked into the County Jail on a $ 6,000 bond to await trial.

On January 16th Deputy Fenn arrested Sylvia Marie Burke from Kellyton, AL. on warrants for Failure to Appear/Possession of a Controlled Substance and Giving False Name to Law Enforcement. She was processed and placed in the County Jail without bond to await trial.

On January 16th Deputy Fenn arrested Teresa Jane Searcy from Goodwater, AL. on a warrant for Assault 3rd. She was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 500 bond to await trial.

On January 16th Deputy Lucas arrested John Derrick Gortney from Daviston, AL. on a warrant for Failure to Appear/Driving While Suspended. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 1,000 bond to await trial.

On January 17th Deputy Lucas arrested Emily Ann George from Eclectic, AL. on a warrant for Non-Support of a Child. She was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $1750 Payout to the Department of Human Resources.

On January 18th Deputy Lucas arrested Fletcher Antawin Strong from Sylacauga, AL. on the charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Possession of a Synthetic Narcotic. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on an $ 11,000 bond to await trial.

On January 18th Deputy Lucas arrested Jakevia LaMonte Barclay from Talladega, AL. on the charge of Possession of Marijuana 2nd. He was processed and placed in the County Jail on a $ 2,000 bond to await trial.

STEWARTVILLE

On January 13th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 41 after receiving a report of Criminal Mischief. A report was completed and the warrant process was explained.

On January 13th a Deputy was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office after a resident came in to report a case of Menacing. A report was completed and the warrant process was explained.

On January 14th Stewartville First Responders, a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 231 near CR 53 after receiving a report of a one vehicle accident involving a deer. One person was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center by a personal vehicle and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.

On January 15th a Deputy was dispatched to Orange Lane after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.

On January 15th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 231 after receiving a request for a funeral escort. The Deputy completed the escort as requested.

On January 17th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 68 after receiving a report of Harassment. A report was completed and the warrant process was explained.

On January 17th Stewartville First Responders and Sylacauga Ambulance were dispatched to White Rock Road after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center.

On January 19th a Deputy was dispatched to Ham Road after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. A report was completed and the warrant process was explained.

On January 19th Stewartville First Responders and Sylacauga Ambulance were dispatched to White Rock Road after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center.

WEOGUFKA

On January 16th Sheriff Howell attended the Monthly Neighborhood Watch Meeting where he presented the monthly crime report for the area.

HANOVER

On January 14th Hanover and Stewartville First Responders, Sylacauga Ambulance, Deputies and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to Hwy 280 at CR 49 after receiving a report of a two vehicle accident. Two people were transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.

On January 15th a Deputy and an Alabama State Trooper were dispatched to CR 75 after receiving a report of a one vehicle accident. There were no reported injuries and the scene was turned over to the Trooper.

On January 18th a Deputy was dispatched to Rolling Mountain Road after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.

KELLYTON

On January 13th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 85 after receiving a report of an unwanted person. The subject causing the problems had left the residence prior to the Deputy’s arrival.

On January 13th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 280 after receiving a report of a business burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the business and determined that the alarm was false.

On January 14th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 87 after receiving a report of Harassment. A report was completed and the warrant process was explained.

On January 15th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 280 after receiving a request for a funeral escort. The Deputy completed the escort as requested.

On January 18th Kellyton Medics and a Deputy was dispatched to CR 50 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.

On January 18th Kellyton Medics were dispatched to CR 46 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Russell Medical Center.

On January 18th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 280 after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.

RICHVILLE

On January 16th Rockford and Ray First Responders, Haynes Life Flight were dispatched to Olive Branch Road after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was transported to Jackson Hospital in Montgomery by Life Flight.

On January 18th a Deputy was dispatched to the Sheriff’s Office after receiving a report of an Assault. A report was completed and the warrant process was explained.

ROCKFORD

On January 14th The Sheriff and Rockford Police Department were dispatched to Hwy 231 after receiving a request for a funeral escort. The escort was completed without incident.

EQUALITY

On January 14th Deputy’s Lucas and Ward attended the Monthly Neighborhood Watch Meeting where they presented the monthly crime report for the area.

RAY

On January 17th Ray First Responders were dispatched to CR 71 after a resident requested medical assistance. The resident was assisted without incident.

On January 18th a Deputy was dispatched to Hwy 280 after receiving a report of a suspicious person walking in the roadway. The Deputy patrolled the area and did not locate the person.

On January 18th a Deputy was dispatched to CR 63 after receiving a report of a Theft of Property. A report was completed and the case is under investigation.

LAKE MARTIN

On January 13th a Deputy was dispatched to Oakachoy Aerie Drive after receiving a report of a residential burglar alarm. The Deputy checked the residence and determined that the alarm was false.
